We are not the trendiest or most stylish school and we are not big either, with an average of 500 students per year and around 50 each week. Our premises are simple, like us, but with spacious and well illuminated HVAC (heated, ventilated and air-conditioned) classrooms: after all, this is where students spend most of their time with us, seems just logical that it should be the best place.
Our school is located in the very heart of Valencia, just minutes away from some of the city's most impressive landmarks and museums, within short walking distance from public transport and surrounded by loads of nice restaurants and shopping areas.
ELE Aleph is a recognised and accredited learning centre by local, national and international governments, organisations and education authorities such as Fevecta (Federación Valenciana de Empresas Cooperativas de Trabajo Asociado), UCEV (Unión de Cooperativas de Enseñanza Valencianas), member of UECoE (Unión Española de Cooperativas de Enseñanza), and the International Co-operative Alliance.
Except for some breaks (Christmas, for instance) and holidays, we are usually open Monday to Friday.
The school is owned and run by members of the staff, a team of highly trained and experienced people devoted to delivering an optimum and first class service to our students. Our company was founded on the principle of not making big profits for investors, but creating value for students and a self-sufficient working model for its members.
Teachers are dedicated and qualified professionals with years of experience, graduated from university, accredited examiners by Instituto Cervantes and all native Spanish speakers.
All our students receive personal and friendly attention. We do not rely on sophisticated software or apps to handle things. Before signing up, throughout the inscription process and during the course, it will always be people taking care of people, guiding students and monitoring their progress.
We aim to guarantee full satisfaction for everyone. Each and every one of our students is special to us and that is precisely how we hope to make them feel. And, because there is no need for quality education to be expensive nor exclusive, rates should always be fair and courses affordable.
Because, sometimes, less can mean more (and better).
We are an international school, so our students come from all over the world. The majority of them are obviously European (around 65%), although there is usually a good number of students from Australia, Brazil, Canadá, New Zealand and the USA too (about 20%). Approximately 10% come all the way from Asia and the rest from different corners of the earth.
The average age of our students is between 25 and 40, depending on the time of the year, although there are always younger and older students and in our experience they feel perfectly comfortable and integrated in our classes. Everyone is welcome!
Summer tends to be the preferred season for younger students, while during the rest of the year they are usually not that young, in fact, quite a good number of our students are retired. Since we do not ask anyone about their age, sex, gender or any other personal aspect, we cannot be certain of how old they are unless they share it with us, though.
Minimum registration age for our regular group courses is 18. Younger students can still enjoy classes with us, but either in private groups or lessons.
