Can I take breaks?
Yes, it is possible with both rates to take whole-week (Monday to Friday) breaks.
Students must inform us at the time of booking for weeks to be deducted (along with those when the school is closed, like Christmas) or at least 10 days ahead (if the course had already started) for them to be postponed.
_____
Are absences compensated?
Not with the basic rate. Any day when students do not attend class (justified or not) is never postponed, deducted nor refunded.
With the regular rate, they are saved as credit for future purchases (1-hour notice required).
ⓘ Breaks (section above) are always postponed or deducted
_____
Are holidays deducted?
Not with the basic rate. Any official holiday (19 March or 1 May, for example) when the school is closed and there is no class is not deducted (except private sessions), postponed nor refunded.
With the regular rate, they are deducted at the time of booking.
ⓘ Breaks (section above) are always deducted or postponed
_____
Is there a cancellation fee?
A -20% with the basic rate.
With the regular rate, it depends on how students pay for their course and when they cancel:
>20 days ahead (cash/SEPA): free
≥10 days ahead: -2%
<10 days ahead: -10%
_____
Anything else?
It is not possible to combine services with the basic rate. Doing an extensive course and some private sessions at the same time, for example, or booking accommodation through us is not allowed.
Here is the small print about our basic rate (excerpt from terms and conditions):
• Students interested in our basic rate must request it at the time of booking
• Reservations must be completed by 14:00 on Friday the week before
• Holidays when there is no class are not deducted, postponed nor refunded
• Whole-week breaks when the school is closed are deducted
• Days missed for any reason are not postponed, deducted nor refunded
• No exception (emergency, illness...), students must choose at their own risk
• A -20% fee is applied if they cancel after completing a booking
